Radio amateur Gerard Auvray, F6FAO, is a member of the Synergy Moon team that aims to develop and land a rover on the moon.
Synergy Moon are currently building a communications and mission control infrastructure, starting with a NanoSat that will test some of the communications and rover hardware.
Gerard F6FAO formerly worked on the amateur radio satellite ARSENE (OSCAR-24) that was launched in 1993. In 1997, 1998 and 1999 he built the three small replicas of Sputnik (145.8125 MHz FM 150mW) launched by a Cosmonaut during Extra Vehicular Activities (EVA’s) from the Russian Space Station MIR (Sputnik 40, 41, 99 a.k.a RS 17, 18, 19).
